Just, Ward S.
Author Ward Just was born in Indiana, the son and grandson of newspaper publishers. He worked as a reporter in Chicago, New York, and Washington, D.C., including stints at Newsweek and the Washington Post. While covering the Vietnam War for the Post he was seriously wounded, and received a sabbatical to write of his experiences. He gradually made the transition from journalism to fiction, and has produced an impressive string of realistic, detailed, well-observed novels about American politics and social issues.
From the description of Ward Just letter to Michael Joseph, 1976 Jan. 27. (Pennsylvania State University Libraries). WorldCat record id: 64552834
