Edward Peter Simons (1795-1823) of the Counting House of Keating Simons & Sons (Charleston, S.C.) was an attorney for Bourdieu, Chollet & Bourdieu, a London (England) banking firm of questionable reputation. Before the American Revolution Bourdieu and Chollet had a branch in Charleston, S.C. to handle the importation of slaves.
