Goodwin, Doris Kearns, 1943-
Doris Helen Kearns Goodwin (b. 1943), a graduate of Colby College and Harvard University, is a historian and biographer. She wrote The Fitzgeralds and the Kennedys in 1987 and Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream. In addition to her writing, Goodwin also worked for the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, the Department of Labor, and served as a special assistant to President Lyndon Johnson in 1968.
