California poet; author of "The Whistle Maker and Other Poems". Born in Wytheville, VA, 6 Sept. 1876. From 1899, resided in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Pasadena, and finally, Berkeley, Calif. Worked for the California Packing Corporation, San Francisco, Calif.
