Richmond, Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, Duke of, 1818-1903
Assistant Postmaster in Detroit, 1846. Born in Barnard, Vt., 1812. He was Brigadier inspector with rank of Major in the Vermont Militia, was a merchant, Moved to Detroit, Mich. circa 1839. (from Hist. of Barnard, Vt. , v.1, p.261) (blue index cards)
