Inglesby family.

South Carolina family descended from William Inglesby (1750-1835), who emigrated from England to South Carolina. William Henry Inglesby (1795-1866) was a Charleston attorney. Dr. Joseph Screven Inglesby, a Charleston physician, married Mary Catherine Grant (1805-ca. 1864). Their son, Henry Screven Inglesby (1834-1866), enlisted in the Confederate Army in June 1862. Mary E. Screven (d. 1852) was the second wife of Henry Blanford Inglesby (1722-1834), a merchant tailor of Charleston, South Carolina.
