Rogers, Lida, 1916-
Mrs. Rogers was raised in a wealthy family in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. In the late 1960s, she was appointed as the first director of the Mississippi State Arts Council, which later became the Mississippi Arts Commission. She headed the commission for more than two decades.
