Romano, Frank, 1924-

Born Queens County, New York. Enlisted in the Army March 13, 1943 after graduating from high school. At the time of his enlistment, Romano was working as a practical nurse. Joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. serving in the 86th Infantry Regiment, Company K and in the Headquarters Company of the First Battalion. Attained the rank of Sergeant while serving with the 10th Mountain Division. Later he was commissioned and attained the rank of Colonel.
