Ladies' Library Association (Kalamazoo, Mich.)

Kalamazoo Ladies' Library Association was the first women's club organized in Michigan, and the third in the United States. The organization met in various places beginning in 1852, and in 1879 they began meeting in the present Ladies' Library Association building. The Kalamazoo Ladies' Library Association is affiliated with the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
