Doster, George Reid, 1918-1990

Attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University, until called to active duty in the U.S. Air Force in 1943. Entered the Alabama Air National Guard after his discharge in 1946. Commanded 117th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, 1955-1963, promoted to Brigadier General, 1957. Promoted Major General and assigned Chief of Staff, Alabama Air National Guard, 1963, retired 1972.
