University of Hawaii System

Organizational charts for the University were mandated by Hawaii State Legislature. Early attempts at fulfilling the obligation were intermittent. In 1987, the president of the University gave Budget Office, a System-wide office, the responsibility of annually creating and maintaining organizational charts for the University System in order to satisfy the legislative requirements. At the time, the Budget Office was under the Vice President for Finance and Operations; currently the Budget Office is under the Vice President of Budget and Finance.
