Curlewis, Harold Burnham, 1874-
Astronomer and meteorologist. Curlewis was Acting Government Astronomer and Meteorologist in Western Australia 1919-1920 and Government Astronomer 1920-1940. He managed to keep the Perth Observatory open in face of government opposition.
