Underhill, Jack A.

Jack Underhill retired in 1967 after 42 years of Federal service, 33 years of which were at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He served as a research analyst for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The department was created in 1937 under the U.S. Housing Act of 1937 and became a cabinet-level agency in 1965. HUD's mission is to increase home ownership, support community development, and increase access to affordable housing free from discrimination.
