Kingman, Howard F. (Howard Fithian), 1890-1968
Howard Fithian Kingman was born on May 5, 1890, in Hillsboro, N.D. He commanded Battleship Division 9 in 1945, then the Third Fleet in 1945 and 1946, and retired as vice admiral in February 1947. Kingman died on July 4, 1968.
