Indiana University, Bloomington. Logic Group

The IU Logic Group was developed as a multidisciplinary group in logic spanning the departments of computer science, linguistics, mathematics, philosophy, and psychology. The IU Logic Group offered weekly multidisciplinary “applied logic lunches,” and weekly logic seminars throughout the school year. Featured speakers were local logicians and a variety of IU faculty members. Subjects covered a variety of logic and applied logic topics. The IULG also sponsored a preprint series which covered a variety of multidisciplinary topics. IULG awarded the Smullyan fellowship, a four-year fellowship for students of logic, from 1990-1996. The program still exists today, as the IU Program in Pure and Applied Logic.
