Shulman, Harry, 1903-1955
Lawyer; born in Russia in 1903; came to the U.S., 1912; B.A., Brown, 1923; LL.B., Harvard Law School, 1926, S.J.D., 1927; in 1929 he left the practice of law in New York City to serve as law clerk to Justice Brandeis; in 1930 he came to Yale Law School as an instructor, and was subsequently made Assistant Professor of Law, 1931, Associate Professor, 1933, Professor. 1937, Lines Professor, 1939, and Sterling Professor, 1940; made Dean of Law School, 1954.
