Swanson, Leroy V. (Leroy Vincent), 1915-
Leroy Vincent Swanson was born November 11, 1915, in Oneida, Illinois. He was commissioned an aviator cadet in the U.S. Navy in 1937, and advanced to the rank of rear admiral in 1962. He commanded Carrier Division 2 from 1968 to 1969.
