Knox, John, 1907-
John Knox, graduate of the University of Chicago (Ph. B 1930); the Northwestern University School of Law (J.D. 1934); and the Harvard Law School (LL.M. 1936), represented Sears, Roebuck and Company's largest subsidiary - Allstate Insurance Company - until his retirement in 1973. A member of the Bars of Illinois, New York and of the Supreme Court of the United States, Knox is also a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendents, the Society of Colonial Wars, the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of the Revolution, and the Society of the War of 1812. His club at Harvard was Lincoln's Inn. During the October 1936 term, he served as Law Clerk and Private Secretary to Mr. Justice James C. McReynolds of the Supreme Court of the United States.
