Hoyt, John Southgate Yeaton, 1913-1951.
John Southgate Yeaton Hoyt (1913-1951), an ornithologist, received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1948. Most of his professional career was spent as an assistant to Arthur A. Allen at the Cornell University Laboratory of Ornithology.
