Gale, Humphrey Myddleton, 1890-1971
Humphrey Myddleton Gale (b. 1890-d. 1971), British general who served in both World Wars, was assigned to a variety of administrative posts, mainly under American General Dwight D. Eisenhower, before returning to England in 1944 as a key player in the D-Day landings in Normandy.
