Levine, Samuel A. (Samuel Albert), 1891-1966

Levine (Harvard, M.D. 1914) taught medicine at Harvard Medical School, 1923- , and was on the staff of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital, 1914- . A chair of medicine was endowed in his honor in 1954. Levine was a noted heart specialist, and was one of the first to diagnose and describe coronary thrombosis. He also studied pernicious anemia.
