Hoyt, Charles G. (Charles Grover), 1860-1913
In 1896 appointed as Indian Commissioner to negotiate treaties with the crow, Flathead, Colville, and Yakima tribes on the surrender of portions of their reservations; b. in Jefferson County, N.Y.; moved to Nebraska in 1881 where engaged in lumber and real estate business; negotiations completed in 1904; moved to Tacoma, Wash., in 1910 and engaged in insurance business until his death.
