Sprague, Irvine H., 1921-

Irvine Henry Sprague (b. 1921) was an administrative assistant to Congressman John J. McFall from 1957 to 1962, Assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson from 1967 to 1968, and administrative assistant to the majority whip in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1973 to 1976. He was director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) from 1969 to 1972, chairman of the FDIC from 1979 to 1981, and director of FDIC from 1982 to 1986.
