Cement, Lime, Gypsum, and Allied Workers Division. Local D-66 (Fort Dodge, Iowa)

The American Federation of Labor chartered the United Cement, Lime, and Gypsum Workers International Union in 1939. In 1981 the union changed names to the United Cement, Lime, Gypsum and Allied Workers International Union. In 1984 it became the Cement, Lime, Gypsum, and Allied Workers Division of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Shipbuilders, Blacksmiths, Forgers, and Helpers (IBB). Cement Workers Local 66 of Fort Dodge, Iowa was chartered between 1939 and 1943. Local 66 represents workers at National Gypsum Company's Gold Bond Building Products wallboard plant and quarry. After the 1984 merger with the Boilermakers, former Cement Worker union locals added "D" to their local number thus Local 66 became Local D-66.
