Clise, James William, 1900-1961
American business executive James W. Clise (1900-1961) lived in Washington State and was involved in conservative and libertarian political activities. Clise acted as a hub of conservative and libertarian political interchange by coordinating the distribution of letters, statements, speeches, pamphlets, books, movies, and radio shows to selected businessmen, local government officials, congressmen, and other interested parties. He worked in numerous organizations which advocated libertarian principles of personal freedom of choice, individual responsibility, limitation of government spending and taxation, and decentralization of power.
