Aimwell School (Philadelphia, Pa.)
The Aimwell School was founded in 1796 by Anne Parrish in Philadelphia for the purpose of providing free education for poor girls. It was instituted by the Society for the Free Instruction of Female Children. The Aimwell School name was taken in 1859 at the time of incorporation. The school discontinued operation in 1923 and the association was dissolved in 1935.
