Wilson, Charles J. A., 1880-1965.

The Eagle was built in 1936 for the German Navy and was known as the Horst Wessel. It was taken over by the U.S. Coast Guard in 1946 and renamed Eagle. Beginning in 1948, the Eagle was used as the Coast Guard's official training ship.
