Dzendzel, Raymond.

Raymond D. Dzendzel was born on July 29, 1921 at Port Clinton, Ohio. He was a graduate of Redford High School and the Detroit Institute of Technology with a B.A. degree. He married Eleanor Borland in 1947 and they had four children, Sandra Kaye, Judith Ann, Cheryl Lynn, and Lee Ann. He was a business representative, a member of Carpenter's Local 982, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the USS Peoria. He was a member of the Episcopal Church, the Masons, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Wolverine Post 171. He was in the Shrine Detroit Commandery No. 1, the Redford Lions Club, and the Loyal Order of Moose. He was elected to the State House of Representatives in 1954 and 1956 and the State Senate in 1958 through 1970. He represented the 7th Senatorial District, County of Wayne.
