Wisconsin. State Park Board
The State Park Board was established by Chapter 495, Laws of Wisconsin, 1907. Its functions were to investigate and recommend to the governor and legislature the purchase of tracts of land for state parks, to purchase such lands when authorized, and to work with other agencies in managing the parks. These functions were combined with others and vested in a new State Conservation Commission (WIHV86-A1162) by Chapter 406, Laws of 1915, and the Park Board was abolished.
