Bonsall, Crosby, 1921-1995
Crosby Bonsall was born in 1921 in New York City. She attended the American School of Design and the New York University School of Architecture. She spent her early career working in small ad agencies. A doodle on her drawing board turned into a doll, and she began creating characters for children. The rest of her career was spent writing and illustrating books for children. She died in 1995. Biographical Source: Something About the Author, v. 23., pp. 6-7.
