Nigg, Cyril C., 1905-

Cyril C. Nigg became a member of the Board of Regents, University of California, in 1955 and served until 1957 as president of the Alumni Association, University of California, Los Angeles. During his tenure he was named to several regents' committees, where he was an especially strong advocate of further development of the university's Los Angeles campus. He was particularly active in resolving a controversy relating to the Pacific Coast Conference and its lack of uniform academic standards for athletes among member universities.
