Guyot, Lawrence, 1939-2012
Lawrence Guyot, born in 1939, was a civil rights voting registration activist and Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) field secretary. He was also the chairman and delegate of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party to the 1964 Democratic Convention in Atlantic City but was incarcerated while picketing in Hattiesburg.
