Socialist Labor Party (Australia)
Australian Socialist League, established 1887; worked with Political Labour League until 1897; began publishing a paper called first 'The northern people' which soon changed its name to 'The people'. In 1907 the League changed its name to Socialist Labor Party of Australia. Contested N.S.W. elections and worked for the economic organization of the working class.
