Kohler, Herbert V. (Herbert Vollrath), 1891-1968
The Kohler family opposed unionization in a 1934 strike during which two workers were killed and forty wounded; and a second bitterly fought strike (1954-1960) which pitted the AFL-CIO against company president Herbert V. Kohler.
