Cameron & Barkley Company.
Cameron & Barkley was first established as a "general supply business" in Charleston, S.C. in 1865. The founding partners were Archibald Cameron (1813-1881), and Rufus Calvin Barkley (1829-1898), the son of Hugh Barkley of Winnsboro, S.C. The company opened a branch in Florida around 1907. For many years Cameron & Barkley was a distributor of industrial and mill supplies as well as building and automotive products, but eventually concentrated on electrical supplies. The company was acquired by Hagemeyer North America in 2000.
