American Association of University Women. North Dakota Division
The American Association of University Women was formed in 1881 to promote higher education for women, assist women in their pursuit of various occupations, and help them utilize their education to benefit society and themselves. The North Dakota Division was formed in 1930. Local branches and their founding years include: Bismarck-Mandan (1932), Devils Lake (1958), Dickinson (1929), Fargo (1922), Grand Forks (1916), Jamestown (1934), Langdon (1974), Mayville-Hillsboro (1957), Minot (1934), New Rockford-Carrington (1981), Pembina County (1974), Valley City (1916), Wahpeton (1935), Walsh County (1951), Williston (1957).
