Haney, Harold L., 1928-2001.
Harold "Hal" Haney was born in Clearfield, Pa. on May 23, 1928. He was hired as an Assistant Director for the Colo. Office of Tourism in 1952 and in 1972, was promoted to Director of the office. Haney retired in 1984 and started Haney Associates, a consulting company that provided workshops for small Colo. communities interested in promoting tourism. He won numerous awards for his achievements and skills in tourism and was also involved in founding the National Cerebral Palsy Society, Colo. School for Handicapped Children, Historic Denver, Inc., and the Bellevue-Hale Neighborhood Association. Haney died in Denver, Colo. on July 30, 2001.
