Northern Pacific Railroad Company. Pullman (Wash.) (1890-.)
A branch of the Northern Pacific Railroad reached Pullman, Whitman County, Wash. in 1890. Located in the southern part of the great Palouse wheat growing region. Pullman benefited from railroad competition to build branch lines to tap the wheat production.
