Harbord Suffield was born January 15, 1734, and elected to the English peerage in the year 1754 and to the following parliaments to represent the city of Norwich. He succeeded to the baronetage upon the death of his father February 17, 1770, and was appointed Baron Suffield of Suffield. Lord Suffield married on October 7, 1760, Mary, daughter of Sir Ralph Asheton of Middleton in the county palatine of Lancaster baronet. He died in 1810.
