Brigham Young University. Cougar Club

The BYU Cougar Club promotes athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and personal integrity among BYU student athletes and the supporters of Brigham Young University - both on and off the field of play. Cougar Club provides a major source of funding for both men's athletics and women's athletics, in addition to sponsoring a number of programs that build athletic loyalty among BYU alumni and friends of the university. Programs sponsored by the club include the Athletic Hall of Fame, football and basketball previews, football pre-game activities, satellite and replay broadcasts of home football and basketball games, and the annual recognition of outstanding academic achievement by student athletes. The club has nearly 4000 members, with club chapters in major support areas and more than 200 satellite representatives throughout the United States. Cougar Club is administered through a Director who is appointed by the university; the director has the responsibility to report to a BYU administrator and to the club's "advisory" board of directors. The office staff currently includes a full time secretary and three part-time secretaries. Also supporting the club's operations are hundreds of member volunteers.
