Frampton, Eleanor
Eleanor Frampton was a vaudeville dancer of the 1920s, dance teacher, dance critic of the Plain Dealer (Cleveland), and director of the Karamu Dancers. Her early dance training and associations include Ruth St. Denis, Ted Shawn, Doris Humphrey, and Charles Weidman (with whom she travelled to Los Angeles from Nebraska in order to join Denishawn).
