University of Utah. Women's Resource Center
The Women's Resource Center was founded in 1971 as a means of improving the general quality of coed education at the University of Utah through the implementation of programs which were responsive to the needs and concerns of female students, faculty, and staff. During the period covered by this collection, the Women's Resource Center fulfilled its mission by implementing a Women's Studies Program, establishing a branch office for the Higher Education Resource Services network for the western United States (HERS/WEST), starting the Project on Single Parent Students, sponsoring an annual Women's Conference, holding seminars and workshops, and advocating for child care services at the University of Utah.
