Boodin, John Elof
Boodin was born on Sept. 14, 1869 in Pjetteryd, Sweden; AB (1895) and AM (1896), Brown Univ., and Ph. D, Harvard Univ., 1899; instructor in philosophy at Brown Univ., 1896-97; Walker fellow, lecturer at Harvard Univ., 1899-1900; professor of philosophy at Grinnell College (1900-4), Univ. of Kansas (1904-13), Carleton College (1913-28), and UCLA (1928-39); emeritus professor, UCLA; president, American Philosophical Assn., Western Division, 1932-33; publications include Truth and reality (1911), God (1934), and A cosmic philosophy (1947); he died on Nov. 14, 1950.
