Teviot, Thomas Livingston, Viscount, 1652?-1711
Sir Thomas Livingston, Viscount Teviot, was named commander-in-chief of the English Army in Scotland in 1690, after a decisive victory over the Jacobites. William Blathwayt established the War Office as part of the British government, and served as Secretary of War beginning in 1683.
