Atkins, Joshua P.
Joshua P. Atkins departed from the port of New York in the ship T.B. Wales of Boston under the command of Captain Edgar Lincoln. The CSS Alabama, commanded by Captain Raphael Semmes, took over the T.B. Wales off the coast of Boston and "burnt and destroyed" it. All valuables were lost.
