Beckstead, Vivia Melissa Farr

Winslow Farr was born in Charleston, Orleans County, Vermont, on May 11, 1837. He was an early member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He joined the Saints in Kirtland. He played the violin for dances and served as a minuteman in the Nauvoo Legion. After traveling to Utah with the Saints, he was ordained a Seventy for the Church. He married Emily Jane Covington in 1858, Susan Melvina Bingham in 1873 and Sarah Ann Mitchell (Graham) in 1899. He was incarcerated in 1888 at Utah State Prison for Polygamy. From 1889 to 1909, he lived in Dublan, Mexico, and was the first bishop there. He passed away February 18, 1913, in Ogden, Utah.
