Lewis, Donald J. (Donald John), 1926-
Mathematics professor at the University of Michigan. Lewis joined the faculty in 1961 and served as chairman of the department, 1984-1994. Active in the American Mathematical Society, Lewis served on the Committee of publications and the Task Force on Employment. Lewis also worked closely with the National Science Foundation, serving as director of the NSF division of mathematical sciences.
