Gilpatric, Roswell L. (Roswell Leavitt), 1906-1996
Roswell Leavitt Gilpatric (1906-1996), lawyer and government official, was Deputy Secretary of Defense from 1961 to 1964, and was a member of the President's Task Force on Nuclear Proliferation from 1964 to 1967. Gilpatric also served as an adviser to President Lyndon Johnson.
