Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action (Poulsbo, Wash.)
The center is based on a 3.8 acre property purchased in 1977, adjacent to the Navy's Trident Submarine base. The collective has carried on a program of non-violent action, including retreats, leafleting of base workers, and civil disobedience actions. The nine founding member of Ground Zero were also members of the Pacific Life Community, whose mission was to protest, thorough non-violent actions, the arrival and operation of Trident nuclear submarines at the Bangor, Washington base.
