Flushing Historical Society (Flushing, New York, N.Y.)

Founded 1903 and ceased to function 1980. Collected manuscripts and artifacts pertaining to Flushing history.

Also, a catalog from a Flushing Historical Society exhibit, containing listing of books, paintings, documents, and artifacts owned by Society, compiled in the mid-20's or early 1930's. Collection contains documents regarding centennial celebration of Flushing village, 1937; documents on tricentennial celebration of founding of Town of Flushing, 1945; pamphlets published by Society about Long Island Indians and Flushing history, 1930's-1940's; and correspondence and other items from officers and members, 1903-1967.
